The Prayer
For many years I wondered if I would meet that ‘special person’. At times I thought
I would never find a friend, at other times I didn’t want a relationship -
At 30 I started to question God, I started to demand that God find someone for me, after all did he not say ‘It’s not good for man to be alone’. Eventually, at 36, I gave up all hope of my prayers being answered.
The Outcome
Two companies merge and request staff members of both companies to work away from home to set up a new computer system. Two of the people involved meet, fall in love, and within two months are married. Yes, you guessed it, I was one of those people.
As we look at the circumstances of our meeting, we both feel that God has had a hand in getting us together. Thus, not only one prayer answered, but two.
You may think it was coincidence -
If my sister hadn’t moved down south, I wouldn’t have joined one of the companies involved.
If I hadn’t passed my driving test, I would not have worked away.
If the two companies hadn’t merged, we would never have met (incidentally, the two companies are now separating).
We can also see where God has been watching over us and answering our prayers even before we started asking.
